Join Mike and Lucy on Tuesday 12th October 2010 from 7pm, on Red Shift Radio for ”Tuck in Tuesday”

Red Shift Radio is an online radio station which is based in Crewe, they have created the show ”Tuck in Tuesday”, part of the late late breakfast show. The show is a new food show on the station aimed at people who have a passion for food.

On the night of the show being aired a competition will be ran with the following fabulous prize:

Free food for 2 adults and 2 children courtesy of Lee and Ryan. The children will also get fast tracked for free to the front of the queue of the Christmas Grotto, (which is normally 2 hours long) courtesy of the Forestry Commission.

Christmas as Delamere Forest will be something special this year.

Lee and Ryan Cartwright of the Delamere Events have built a mock tudor street in the forest, offering local produce, of which we are supplying our fantastic chips.

This is one competition not to be missed out on so make sure that you tune!

As a boy I remember going to bed in my wellingtons so I could be up and ready early to get started the next day,” laughs Paul. But Paul’s wife Wendy draws the line at that!

We’re so proud of our local farm potatoes that we’re changing our name to ”Cheshire Farm Chips’. It’s a move welcomed by customers who are keen to promote local produce on their menus. Research shows that people are increasingly interested in the quality and provenance of food. Diners are on the look out for a ‘food experience’, with the use of quality local produce high on their agenda. In a recent survey, almost half of consumers said that when eating out they would like to know more about the potatoes they are served and where they come from. For hotels, pubs and restaurants looking to capitalise on this trend, our award winning ‘Cheshire Farm Chips’ certainly deliver. “At Teuthill Farm it’s always been our philosophy to produce a great tasting local product,” says Paul Jackson. “Winning the Food NW award brought the perfect opportunity to promote the regionality of our farm chips. We know that our customers will also benefit from this move.” So when it comes to chips, our customers can now clearly set themselves apart from their competitors with award winning ‘Cheshire Farm Chips’.

Everyone loves a good chip, so it was a proud day here at the farm when we won an award for our ‘Cheshire Farm Chips’ at this year’s Food North West Awards. The Awards recognise the best fine food products in the Northwest of England. A team of hand picked judges including regional chef Nigel Howarth, speciality food retailers, food journalists and supermarket buyers tasted their way through the fine food entries from across the region. All products are blind tasted and judged solely on their quality, taste, texture and appearance. So our fresh cut Cheshire farm chips are tasty – it’s official!

We’re delighted to have been awarded a ‘Campaign to Protect Rural England’ ‘Buy Local’ Food award for our outstanding contribution to providing quality local food.

A spokesman from CPRE Cheshire said;

“It was really difficult to choose our winners – so many of the entrants were providing fantastic local food! All the winners were chosen because of some extra facet to the local food service that they provided. Paul and Wendy Jackson from Teuthill Farm grow potatoes and process them to supply ready made chips to local pubs and restaurants. We were all really impressed with the thought that has gone into their product. Every aspect of the production – the way the potatoes are grown, the way they are supplied to caterers in packaging which is collected and reused by the business, to the delivery fleet.”

And Charlotte who visited the business vouches for the tastiness of the chips!!
