A master’s degree in food engineering?!


A MASTERS of Science (MSc) in Food Processing Engineering degree has been introduced at Teeside University in order to supply to the growing demand for talented food engineers.

According to the Food and Drink Federation (via New Food Magazine), the Food and Drink sector is now the largest manufacturing industry in the UK.

Through real world working, work based problem solving and case study exercises, the degree develops innovative solutions to increase productivity, reduce waste and energy usage and ways to reduce costs.

Modules in the degree include Food Product Design, Food Safety Engineering and Management and Food Manufacturing Engineering.
